SAY SOMETHING, I'M GIVING UP ON YOU I'LL BE THE ONE, IF YOU WANT ME TO
Whoever said that a change of scenery uplifted the mood, lied. They lied so hard. Ash felt super uncomfortable around all these people, and if she pulled her hat any lower to cover her eyes, she would be blind. She wrapped her maroon cardigan closer to her body as she maneuvered through the mass of people that probably lived in the mall. Most were rude and nearly caused the small girl to topple over from their harsh impacts.
She promised herself that she would be in an out. The girl wasn't going to buy anything because her last paycheck was on food and rent, but it was nice to dream that she was a millionaire not living in a rinky-dink apartment.
Ash entered into her dream store: Urban Outfitters. Rich, lucky folks entered and left this store with that glamorous bag Ash envied. One time she saved up enough money to buy a pair of boots. That was an amazing feeling, albeit rare.
She lazily leafed through the sweaters and knew she was receiving odd looks. Ash knew she looked odd with her panda beanie with a cardigan and dress on, and she pretended she didn't care. Her pink eyes concentrated on the price tags with the scary numbers in the three digits.
As she was walking through the aisles, she hadn't notice that her backpack zipper was open and her cellphone dropping onto the floor.
Beth laughed as she walked into Urban Outfitters as she looked over at Rhage. "Stop bitching I promise to buy you a big huge bag of Tootsie pops and what ever else you want to eat as soon at we leave here." She said smiling at him. She knew it was not her. He just hated being in places like this with so many people. His beast hated. it. She stopped laughing and looked up at him. "I know you don't like this but thank you and I would have dragged you in here if this was not important to me." She said smiling up at him. This was important to her John Mathew's birthday was coming up and she wanted to get him something and she had heard Quinn and Blay talking about this leather jacket John Mathew had wanted so she talked Rhage into coming to the mall with her. Since Wrath would throw a fit if she came by herself. And tonight was his night off. She had talked him into it. "I promise not to take forever I know what I need to get." She said as she headed towards where the leather jacket were located.
Only to see the other people in the store staring at a young girl looking at things in the store and to see said young girl lose her cell phone out of her back pack. She felt something for this young girl and she grabbed Rhage's arm. "She's not all human Rhage what is she?" She asked as she picked up the cell phone and walked over to the young girl before Rhage could stop her. "Hey I am not going to hurt you." She said holing her hands up when the girl jumped and spun on her. Beth helps up her hands. "This fell out of your back pack. I just wanted to give it back to you. My name is Beth and this is Hollywood." She said smiling at the girl. She really hoped she was doing the right thing. The girl looked lost and lone and afraid.
Rhage was never one for large stores with many people. Deep inside everything, The Beast, hated it. His shoulders rolled as he tried to calm down from all the piercing sounds that hit his ears. "Can we go to TGIs?" He asked as Beth tried to calm him with a bag of tootsie pops. Once again, he rolled his shoulders as they walked to right outside of Urban Outfitters. Rich wannabes just buying expensive stuff that he could get almost half price shopping online. His shoulders rolled once more. "It's okay Beth. Wrath would have bent me over if I didn't come with you. Not to mention I care about you." He followed closely behind her, towering over her in a slightly defensive fashion. He closed his eyes for a brief moment to take in the smells around him. God the disgusting perfume was overwhelming. Once past that, his eyes opened quickly as something didn't smell right.
His eyes trailed over the people stopping on a petite girl, who kept looking at a handbag. "Beth..." he stopped when he was interrupted by Beth. She wasn't human. At least not completely. "Sympha-" He trailed off once more as Beth headed over toward the small girl. Instinctively he moved quickly behind her, right on her heals, still towering her. "Symphath." He finished at Beth's side in front of the girl. Rhage noticed she was dressed in clothing that was slightly too big for her. While normally he didn't care, her being half symphath drew his attention, it reminded him of Rehvenge. Feeling slightly remorse for her, he slightly let his defensive state down. "Hal E. Wood." He extended his hand to shake hers. The beast crawled beneath his skin still from the amount of people around him. He was even slightly annoyed by how many people's eyes were on him. The women that watched him.
He knew it would always happen any place he went, but it still irritated him beyond anything. He only had eyes for Mary. So why did everyone else have to look at him that way.

SAY SOMETHING, I'M GIVING UP ON YOU I'LL BE THE ONE, IF YOU WANT ME TO
She supposed she should get out of her before she was fussed at by an employee for 'loitering' or something again. It wasn't a crime to look through clothes, but apparently they didn't like street rats. It was fine: Ash tried to cut out any emotions she had so the pain won't seep in. However, she did have to suck in the negative things they felt about her.
She sighed and scratched her hair through her beanie. A navy sweater caught her attention and she looked at the tag. Too expensive. She would remember that price and save up for it because her sweaters were getting closer to God in holiness.
The girl reached in her backpack for her phone only to realize it wasn't there. She turned around for it with a frown and then met eyes with a woman and a rather large man. Both were amazingly beautiful yet both made her feel uncomfortable as they approached her.
The first thing the woman said was that she was not going to hurt her. Of course Ash wouldn't believe her at first. She would have to wait for what fruits the woman would bare before she takes that bite of trust. Ash gave a look of uncertainty as the woman named Beth spoke. Having someone speak to her was quite abnormal because people usually avoided eye-contact and social interactions because of her, well, eyes.
And the fact that the guy she was with was ten times her size didn't help. People made her uneasy. Big, scary meant intensified the feeling. She folded her arms a bit uncomfortably as she tried to think of a response for the woman. Beth and Hollywood, or Hal-E-Wood, were their names; why they introduced themselves was a big question.
Ash instinctively shrunk back when the large man struck out his large hand. She looked at it carefully before she trained her eyes to look at his striking teal ones. She then looked over at Beth's beautiful dark eyes and decided that it was okay for her to at least shake his hand. She struck out her pale, fragile hand and shook his.
"Hi," was all the girl managed to say at that time. She quickly removed her hand and shoved both of them in her pockets. She stood there for a brief moment before she realized the woman helped her out earlier. "Thanks...for giving back my phone," she said and fidgeted. Ash wasn't sure if she was supposed to leave then or stay a bit. Being social was hard.
"I'm Ash," she said as an afterthought. She didn't really like giving out her name, but they gave theirs first and it seemed right to give hers out. Well, her nickname at least.

WOULD YOU LIE WITH ME

Beth laughed and nodded her head. "Oh Rhage yes since you are doing this for me. We can go to TGIF as soon as I am done." She said smiling up at the man as she placed an hand on his leather clad arm. "And I promise the next time I need to come to the mall. I will make Vishous or Butch come with me." She said to him as she turned back to the leather jackets and pulled out the one that Blay and Quinn had said John Mathew had wanted. She looked at the price tag and swore under her breath. "At one time there was not way on hell I would have paid this much for something would have been able to afford it."She said with a shrug. Thinking about how every thing use to be a struggle and now money was not a problem at all.
She kind of tensed when Rhage told her Ash was a Symphath but something about this young girl spoke to Beth and told her she was not a threat. That she might need them. "I think she might need our help." She said to him as the got closer. There was something about this girl that reminded her of her. She saw the way the staff and other people in this store were looking at her. She smiled as Ash as she took her phone from her. "It's not problem. Any thing to help."She said as she looked down at the sweater that Ash was looking at. She could see that the girl really wanted it. She looked up as she felt Rhage tense up and saw and Sales Clerk coming at them. She looked over as Ash. "Is this the sweater that you wanted or did you want something else?" Beth asked as she pulled it off the rack. " Bitch." She muttered under her breath so only Ash and Rhage could hear her. She remembered that look and the feeling of what it was like to have a sales clerk come up to her and make her leave a store because she didn't have the money to buy something. She didn't want that for any one else, she thought as she looked over at Ash and smiled at her. "After we are done here we are going to go and get something to eat you want to join us? I promise no one is going to hurt you?" She asked trying to reassure Ash. She looked up at Rhage and hoped this was alright and that she was not doing any thing that would place them in danger. There was just something about Ash that made her want to get to know her.
The firm handshake dropped and Rhage returned to himself a protecting Beth. He eyed the sweater that the girl was looking and before shuffling through his pockets. He had to have something in there. Finally coming across a credit card he flipped it between his fingers. "Please get as much as you want. My treat." He said with a bright caring smile. It wasn't something he normally did, but that feeling of being reminded of fellow Revhenge helped her case. He turned to Beth with a smile. "I'll deal with your man later about this." He chuckled lightly then started to tense as people crowded in the little shop and started to stare at him.
The beast crawled angrily beneath his skin, just wanting to burst forth and shred any one of the people around him to bits. He kind of wished Mary would have been here, she'd calm the beast at least a little. Turning to another rack of clothes Rhage pulled a small shirt that would fit Beth. "Think your Hubby would love this?" He chuckled lightly, trying to bring a sense of humor into the situation.
Rhage had no problem with keeping eye contact with Ash. He knew the feeling, although directly opposite. Everyone stared at his bright teal eyes. When Beth brought up going to get something to eat he immediately nodded. "When you're done with your little shopping spree would you like to join us?" Nobody will hurt you. Exactly, not while any of the brothers were around. Nobody would get hurt. "Yes, I promise you won't be in any harm."
Adzeekh was not exactly the mall type and she definitely was not the crowd type. Still, she swallowed her annoyance as she waited for the music store in the mall to finish the repairs on her guitar.
She ended in Urban Outfitters, a store she rarely ever frequented, and found herself considering a purple shirt that she felt had potential, if she took some scissors to it.
Her attention was pulled away from the tanks to another trio shopping there and she pushed her red shades up the bridge of her nose to make sure they covered her eyes. The woman in the baggy clothes in particular caught her attention the most - her energy calling out to her in a way any other symphath would.
"Huh, small world." She muttered as she abandoned the tanks and wandered closer, pretending to browse as she observed the situation.

SAY SOMETHING, I'M GIVING UP ON YOU I'LL BE THE ONE, IF YOU WANT ME TO
Okay, so this was weird. Like, really weird.
Why was she attracting so many people? There was nothing special about her-- she wasn't attractive like this lady and her...boyfriend? She could say it was her eyes, but she's never had anyone actually walk up to her and talk to her. She did get the random jerk who would walk up to her and ask her if she was albino or something.
If walking up to her hadn't freaked her out, the charity did. Ash wasn't used to others being so nice to her. Given, no one was outright mean to her anymore, but no one made it their point to go out their way and buy her something. And for what?
Ash assumed it was to make themselves feel good. She looked down at her clothes and frowned. They weren't too bad looking. A maroon cardigan that covered a white dress and brown oxfords. Yeah they were a little too big, but she liked big clothing because she was always clothes.
"Thanks...but no thanks," she said and moved away from the sweater. It felt weird having someone buy her something, especially someone she's never met. The guy the lady with was kind of scaring her with his feral-attitude even if he was not directing at her yet.
They both claimed that they wouldn't harm her, but she couldn't believe them so quickly. "How do I know this...I don't even know you two." She frowned and shoved her hands into her pockets. "Why are you being nice to me?" She tried to sound pleasant enough, but she knew her voice dripped with incredulity. Charity just didn't happen: not to her, not to anyone in New York, and not to anyone in New York who was her.
But, she couldn't say she didn't want to go out to a shopping spree and lunch afterwards. She had a peanut butter and apple jelly sandwich for her, waiting to be made at her apartment. She was craving peanut butter for a while, and it was the only thing she could stomach right now.
"I-I really shouldn't." She wanted, no, she wished they were as nice as they claimed. No one was just that nice to her because she was naturally unwanted: she had eighteen years for proof.
Just then she felt something odd in her. A pull perhaps? She didn't know what it was, but it was coming from nearby. Her pink eyes looked around and landed on a woman with red shades. She seemed to be leafing through a clothes rack and she could have sworn she's seen her eyes look her way. Why did she have this pull towards her? Why were Beth and Hal so nice to her? What was going on? Did she smell weird?
Beth laughed and nodded her head. Beth laughed as reach up and patted his cheek. "I knew there was a reason I liked you. Lets shop and I will deal with Wrath later. After some of the shit he has pulled lately he owes me this." She said smiling as she grabbed the shirt and turned back to look as Ash. She saw the look of doubt and fear on Ash's face like she thought they wanted something in return but she also saw the want in her eyes. She picked up another top that Ash has been looking at when she looked over at Rhage and told him no she didn't want to buy any thing. Beth turned to her and put a hand on her hip.
"Look we are not doing this out of charity we both know what it's like to not belong or be wanted in places like this and to have bitches like that look their noses down at us because we don't dress like they do." She said pointing a finger at the shop girl that had started to come up to them earlier "We just wanted to shut her up and have some fun on my husbands dime. That is all and since we met and thought you might like to have some fun also and that you might want to make some friends who can understand who you are." She said smiling at her so that she could see all of Beth's teeth. She wanted to help this girl. She knew she was a Sympath and Wrath and that Brothers always told her to stay away from them but there was something about her that said she needed help or that she could use a friend. She also couldn't understand why she couldn't tell that. She thought as she felt Rhage step closer to her and she felt another sympath and then saw her coming at them. "What is this a Sympath convention?" She muttered to Rhage as she saw her standing there. She decided to leave this one up to Rhage and how he wanted to deal with her. "I really hope you will change your mind about shopping with me. And I hope you will come to dinner with us. I promised this big lug here dinner after his wife got called into work tonight." She said smiling over at Ash.
(feel free t0 skip Rhage as his actions are included in beth's post. As I'm not really in the mood to rp right now. I have posted in the absence thread)
Her comfort level, which was not entirely high to begin with, began to lower rapidly. She knew when the young symphath noticed her. She could feel it in the connection that all symphath's shared. She also noticed when the vampiress noticed her as well.
A vampire's attention, especially one shadowed by a big vampire, was the last thing she wanted.
So she dropped the pretense of browsing and turned on her heel. Whatever was going on with the younger girl was none of her business anyways. She was not about to risk getting reported for a stranger.
"Curiosity killed the cat," She grumbled to herself, hoping that they would not try to apprehend her. If she was able to get out of the store, she might be able to lose them in the night crowds.
