Vahlour was hungry ... he had gone out on patrol ... and had well ... run into a few lessers. So he was pooped ... and he was hungry. He recognized the name of the restaurant ... though he couldn't remember exactly where he had heard it.
The past few days had been .... interesting ... apparently his mom had gone to Zerosum ... and found ... a couple males to have some fun with .. on one hand ... he was happy for her ... on the other ... well ... this was his mahmen.
He went in ... and sat down ... he looked at the menu ... deciding just how much he wanted to eat...it was a nice atmosphere in there ... and the food smelled good ... there was something else familiar about the scent in there as well.

Reia had been working hard all day, she had done a few things in her apartment since she thought she was going to have the day off, but she had been called and all but begged to come in and cover the rush when someone didn't show up so she figured it would look good if she came in for when she really did need to take the time off. And it was finally starting to slow down now that it was getting later in the evening so she was grateful for that, she heard the small little ding of the bells as someone came in and she moved to the table that she could see from the back that was now occupied. She would shake her head she couldn't see who it was as the back of their head was turned in her direction. So she grabbed a menu and a glass of water heading in that direction.
"Good evening and welcome to the Jade Gardens, My name is Reia and I will be your server" she put down the water and menu before looking to grab her scribble pad " Is there anything I can get started for you while you read over the menu?"
It was only then that she looked up and saw who it was and she froze for a moment " Oh shi... Hi" she flushed and she would glance around the restaurant a little suddenly feeling a little bit uncomfortable.
" How are you?" she didn't know what else to say, and just standing there waiting for an answer to the menu seemed very unnatural and uncomfortable...not that this was any more comfortable.

That familiar scent was coming closer and closer ... and when the waitress started talking. .. he blinked as he looked up and he would chuckle a little ... though he still had that serious look on his face. "Oh shit huh ... well I'm glad to see you as well." He grinned a little and winked to her, "Well fancy meeting you here ... if you weren't working I would say that you should come join me." He would take the water though ... and have a sip.
"THank you ... and well ... I was thinking two orders of egg foo young, 5 orders of stir fry ... two chicken, two beef ... and one shrimp. I want 4 orders of deep fried shrimp ..... and I think that I'll go for 2 each of the dim sum." He would lean back a little ... this was why he remembered the name of the place ... she said that she worked here.

Reia would blushed " Sorry just... didn't expect to see you, here and thank you again for those recipes. It was really nice to be able to eat the last couple days and have energy again" she grinned a little bit as she scribbled down the order and she would pause as he mentioned inviting her to join him, and she glance over to clock up on the wall..
" If you wish I could do so in about 10 minutes...if the next person shows up on time if the invitation is still open then" she would offer a small smile
" I will put your ticket in and see you in a few minutes " she would head off to the kitchen shaking her head a little bit she couldn't believe he was here and normally she might want to say that he was doing it on purpose but he looked just as surprised to see her than anything so maybe he had forgotten she had mentioned she worked her.
Reia would be gone for 35 minutes only able to come around to top up his water and bring him some free spring rolls since there had been a mess up on his order and she had sent it back to be redone. However, after the 35 minutes she came back out bringing him his food, and no longer in her apron since she was done and clocked out since the person finally arrived and she would lay everything out in front of him before putting a small ginger beef bowl in front of herself along with a water. She also put out two pairs of chopsticks and one pair of utensil incase he didn't know how to use chopsticks.
" Sorry for the wait, I didn't think you would want your beef,chicken and shrimp all mixed into one order that was just extra meaty since it meant less food" she would shake her head before starting to munch on her own food.
Reia would sit there, and she was really nervous ,it was rendering her speechless again... she really wanted her mind to get a grip!

He would smile to her, "It's not a problem ... I understand ... for both the food ... and the ... unexpected arrival." He would grin a little as he looked to her, "Oh I'm pretty sure that the offer will still be open when you are done."
He watched as she left ... and he wasn't surprised that it took a little for the food .. it sounded like there was a bit of a mess up in the order ... that and it was late night ... and a lot of food. So about a half hour later ... she came over with the food ... and some for herself. "It's not a problem ... I'm rather used to it. I'm just on a break myself."
She seemed a little ... frazzled. .. and he didn't know if it was because of him ... or she just was frazzled in general right now. "So what have you been up to?"

Reia smiled finishing the food in her mouth as she nodded "Breaks are good, do you work till lights up... or does it depend on the count?" she wasn't really sure how that thing worked and she had assumed that he was off if he was here or finished so it was the perfect time to see if she could get to know a little more about that .
" Not to much actually, I had the one day off so my friend Evee and I hung out. Did the girl thing a bit and then I have been working everyday since that day...was supposed to be off today but someone didn't show up so they called to ask me to cover" she would smile sipping her water.
" And you? Have you been working... do you have any time coming off soon, cause my friend Evee was thinking about going to a movie and you would be welcome to join us...I think she might be inviting one of her friends as well"
She would shove some food in her mouth to try and keep herself from babbling or making it seem like a date when it wasn't. It would just be friends getting together and she knew that he just moved here and likely didn't have too many friends so it might be a good thing also.

Vahlour would start to eat ... he was hungry .... and there wasn't really anyone else around ... so he would just start to chow down. "Well mostly we go till a couple hours before dawn ... but we can use our discretion ... if we get a lot of them ... get hurt ... or get tired....then we can call it early as long as we let someone know."
He would look up to her as he took a drink to wash some of the food down. "A day off huh ... well at least you get a little bit more money....have you gone and seen Haver's yet?" He was curious ... and he had to admit that he was concerned over her health....he wanted to give her the best chance to get through her transition. "I've mostly been working .. and I think that I found a place that I can call home .. just in negotiations for the price ... and then .. a renovation."
"A movie ... with you, your friend .. and your friends friend." HE would grin to her as he thought, "I think that I could do that."

Reia would nod " Yep, I found my way out there and he did some tests to see how my body was doing, and to see if he could pinpoint how close to my transition I really was.. he was also like you concerned at me working three jobs all the way up to my transition so he advised not working, and if I couldn't not work then I should pick one." she would shake her head a little bit as she looked around the restaurant, that was when she caught the smile as he said he could probably do the movie, the smile alone caused her to blush.
" Not like that! I promise its not a d...date thing it is just a couple of friends getting together ... though she might bring one of the guys that she just met but you me just friends I am not trying to suggest more or say we are more or lure to more or anything of the sort I should have just started working!" she shook her head a little bit sipping her water till she emptied it and she finished off her food since it wasn't a big bowl.
" yeah anyway moving on, lets just forget I asked " she would shake her head a little bit tempted to smack her head on the table.

Vahlour would smile to her, "Well it would be a better idea if that is what you did ... not to mention .. after your transition ... if you are working just at Zero or something ... the tips will likely outshine your wage." He would wink to her ... and well ... he understood where she was going ... but she was making it too easy. He had been told that he had a very ... serious face .... so he usually played upon that attribute.
"What ... am I not good enough to go out on a date with you? Am I not ... not ... dateable? Do you not like me enough to go out on a movie date?" He looked to her ... his eyes widening just the slightest amount .. she was already flustered .. and he was sure that this would only push her a bit over the edge.
"I don't think that I'm going to forget about it ... this is rather personal."

Reia dropped her fork when he started to take what she said personally, and she started to physically shake as her skin paled. Her eyes went wide as she swallowed, opening her mouth and closing it again as she glanced around the restaurant. He would be able to hear that her heart rate doubled, she was starting to sweat and she was having trouble breathing... her chest was really tight and she put her finger up since she needed a moment.
She stood and she headed to the bathroom trying to get her chest to loosen but it wasn't working, so she would go into the ladies sitting on the bench across from the winks, pulling a bag out of her purse and she would put it to her mouth as she started to hyperventilate, breathing in and out of the bag as controlled as she could get herself to go at the moment. It took her several minutes to come back out and she was still a little pale by the time she took her seat again and she would lick her lip to say something but she wasn't ready to speak so she just sat there. Her vision was stuck on her hands which were sitting on her lap, her heart rate was still up.
" I'm sorry... I wa..wasn't " she swallowed feeling like she was choking a bit " attemp...ting to insul..t you...I just..di...didn't wi wish you to ...think...I was...ass..uming an..an...anything"
She would take a deeper breath holding it as she tried to force her lungs to expand so she didn't feel like she was going to suffocate in a perfectly airy situation.
" I ...I sh..hould probably..." she gestured to the door and started to shift to get up out of her seat.

Vahlour sighed a little bit as she left to go calm down .. he didn't mean for her to take it so hard ... and so personally. When she came back he shook his head, "No ... I am sorry, I was just trying to tease you a little bit ... get you to laugh or have a witty comment back. I didn't mean to make you feel so self concious."
He felt a bit bad for causing a reaction this strong .. since he really wanted to make her feel comfortable more than anything. Onto a different topic, "So was Haver's able to put a more precise date to your transition .... or did you do the test to see what your lineage is?"

" Oh...Oh..I'm sorry... I just I have... trouble with confront..ation and it causes a strong reaction" she would take a deep breath trying to calm herself further, and it helped that he said he was simply kidding, it took out some of the confrontational edge in it that her mind thought it had picked up but she was still rattled so she would sit there for several moments just collecting herself, though she was still refusing to look up from her lap and if he looked careful enough he would be able to see that she had hived working up her neck.
" He said I am really close... he said he would be surprised if I made it another week without going through it or getting to the point I couldn't work " she shrugged
" As to the other I decided for right now I do not wish to know, I think it would bother me to know that he has possibly been this close and not ever tried to check in" she bit her bottom.
" Plus I am still adjusting to the whole turning into a vampire thing" she would scratch at her hives with her knuckles her eyes still looking down and she had clearly huddled in on herself as she appeared smaller now.

Vahlour would look to her .. and she was having a strong reaction ... and not having a father .. and having a mother that was well ... not all that kind .... could be a big part of this ... but he didn't think all of it. His eyes narrowed to her "I can understand that ... now ... since you are so close ... do you want to have a hotel room next to mine ... or in my hotel room? Since when you hit your transition .. you're going to want to feed quickly."
He took a deep breath, "Who hurt you?" She was having a major reaction ... and either .... well she was abused ... or ... well she had one very bad experience .... which reminded him ... she had a bad reaction ... not like this ... but a bad reaction to getting into his car.

Reia looked to him, her mind trying to think about everything he was saying, why was he asking her to sleep with him.... no that didn't sound right she replayed what he said in her head and she would laugh she had crossed over conversations between her and Ehnvee, with the conversation they were having... yay for a panicked brain. She would brush her fingers over the table while she was trying to think about what he was saying it made sense, but she had never lived outside her apartment, she had never really um lived in a males place or with a male or stayed with a male why was she repeating male in her head so many times???
" Um, I am not going to take money from you to afford a hotel ... so you could stay with me... although its a one bedroom so um well I guess that doesn't work ... though isn't your hotel room one bedroom or did you grab a bigger suite cause I uh...I ah I just I well ah yeah I no offense not going to sleep in the same bed... but if it is better... that I am close then maybe this is a good idea ... " she bit her lip shaking her head a little.
Reia would start coughing when he asked his question and she looked away from him and started to stand " I think I have outstayed my welcome at this table, uh you know thanks for that offer but I think I will just stay in my place"

Vahlour would look to her, "Well I have a penthouse suite ... which has a guest bedroom on it. .. that no one is using ... so I could use the guest ... and you can use the master." His penthouse hotel room .. was at least three times the size of her apartment ... and he had other people doing his laundry. They treated him pretty well considering he told them he would be there for at least a month.
Though he asked the question ... and he would shake his head ... she just confirmed that someone had attacked or abused her .... she just didn't want to talk about it ... or tell him who. "You forget that I have been around for awhile ... you have all the classical signs of someone who has had a scarring event ... or years of abuse. I'm not going to force you to tell me ... but don't get angry because I know it happened."
