Welcome to Caldwell, New York, where there is a war going on between vampires and their evil counterparts, the Lessers. Lessers are a group of soulless humans that are set on killing off all vampires. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is a group of warriors that have been fighting Lessers for hundreds of years. These warriors fight hard, party hard, and love even harder. They have finally found love and seem to be happy. While still fighting the Lessers, a new enemy has appeared, an enemy of their own kind. The Band of Bastards is this enemy. The Band of Bastards has gone so far as to try and kill the King, Wrath. The Band Of Bastards leader Xcor, is set on taking over as King of the Vampire world. A death sentence has been handed down for Xcor, and secrets are about to come to light that are going to change everyones' lives forever. The Scribe Virgin is about to reveal a secret so big that it will not only effect the Black Dagger Brotherhood but the Band Of Bastards as well.

Ehnvee walked out of the elevator, still holding Reia's hand. She pushed open her door, unlocking it with her mind, but how would Reia know that? She walked in, letting go of Reia's hand and closing the door behind them, locking it physically. She turned around and sighed. "You will change, soon."
Reia looked to Ehvee like she was crazy " how did you know what I was thinking and what do you mean I am going to change soon... I mean seriously don't you think I would know if something like that was going to happen to me.... I know I am a freak that I dont like guys or girls for that matter or that I am small and I swear that I think you are drinking"
She started passing as they got inside the condo and she was feeling seriously freaked out and she was clearly starting to panic her heart rate was up, she was sweating and she aws having a harder and harder time breathing as she moved in to the kitchen to splash her face with water
" Seriously Ehvee you are really starting to freak me out"
Reia stopped dead in her tracks, her face going pale as her body started to tremble. Her breathing started to get a little more laboured as she tracked her with her eyes waiting to see if she was safe to move or if she was about to get hit, memories of her mother starting conversations and fights in similar ways popping up into her head before she turned to her friend
" Don't talk to me like that not ever again or I will be leaving the door and you and work behind to find somewhere else to go" she was giving her a warning as she tried to calm herself down
Ehnvee grunted and started to get pissed. She was her best friend, and she didn't believe her, even a little! She felt her fangs extend with her anger. She stormed up to Reia and grabbed her shoulders. She had a little lisp as she spoke, since her fangs were out. "Look... but please don't freak."
Slowly Ehnvee opened her mouth, revealing her sharp crystal white fangs.
Reia looked to her friend as she grabbed her, and she would look since that was what her friend was demanding, but what would she frea...HOLY SHIT THOSE THINGS WERE FANGS AND NOT THE HALLOWEEN KIND!
She stumbled back from her friend till she hit the wall, and her eyes were more then a little wide as she looked around the apartment " why would I freak... I mean its not everyday that your friend goes SURPRISE I HAVE STEAKS IN MY MOUTH and I am not talking the freaking BBQ kind" she would shake her head rubbing her eyes
" Okay so ...say I believe you... that you didn't have something done...what do you mean that me not being interested in boys is normal? "
Reia looked to her friend and she would let her back slide down the wall bringing her legs up to her chest hugging them as she tried to work her mind around what was being said.
Ehnvee felt horrible. She really wished this was happening this way, but it was better then during her transition. She waked over, staying a few feet away. Ehnvee sank to the hardwood and crossed her legs. Quickly her fangs went back up into her gums. "Okay, so before you hit your transition, which is when you turn into a full blown vampire, you really have no sex drive. That little buddy comes during your transition, when you're with a male for the first time."
Ehnvee looked away and blushed. "Or if he'll be with you. The main thing is the feeding, you have to do that. Most males and females have sex afterwards and during because of how much your sex drive kicks in..."
Reia looked up to her friend she was having trouble comprehending everything that she was saying, so she was going to have a sex drive after the transition started, well that would be nice... maybe she would get to feel normal for a change. She was getting off topic with that thought, so she brought herself back to it " Okay so when will my transition be then... I mean my mother said it happens between 20 -23 but that never happened" she would shake her head a little bit.
" I'm so confused..." she would take a breath " So I am one and she wasn't lying... "
Reia looked to her and she would blink "really, 25.... I always thought she was lying because nothing ever happen...so is that why my eyes really hurt when I go outside or why sometimes when I eat I get sick lately? or why I am really tired and having troubles with the whole feeling normal" she was really conflicted she wanted to believe because it meant her mother wasn't a liar but then on the other hand it just seemed so far off
" What else should I know? Like um really know is it why I don't I dont know what else to ask I feel like I should have questions but I just I feel numb?"
Ehnvee looked scared. "Yeah, those are definitely reasons why. I really need to find you a male, soon."
She sighed and looked down. "Your transition will both hurt, yet make you feel the best you've ever felt in your life. You'll also stop aging, for quite some time."
Ehnvee smirked big. "I'm one hundred and twenty five years old."
Reia looked to Ehnvee letting out a small breath her hands fidgeting against her knees as she took in the information...so she was going to change into a vampire... she needed a male or she was going to die...at least that was how she was making it sound and then she would have a sex drive, her eyes wouldn't hurt and she wouldn't be able to go out in the sunlight anymore... this was a lot of information to take in. Not to mention it was really hard not to be skeptical as she glanced around the room trying to think of a time her and Ehnvee had hung out during the day or worked the same day shift..
When she couldn't think of one she took her glasses off, using her thumb and fore finger to rub her tired eyes shaking her head as she finally looked up to Ehnvee " I am struggling to believe this... but lets say I do because some things would make more sense if I believed it... what is this transition... I know I become a vampire as you say but what I just drink blood grow some fangs, do I like have to die first then dig my way out of the grave?"
Ehnvee laughed and fell over onto her side. She held her chest. "No, no, we don't die, although it may feel like it."
She sat back up and smiled. "Like I said, it's going to hurt. It's like you're in so much pain, and his blood is medicine. It heals you, and you feel stronger. I've heard transitions are much worse in males. Their bodies go through major growth spurts, usually women don't go through those, which I am thankful for. So you'll start feeling ill, like you're going to die and then the male will be there and immediately lead you to his throat, or wrist, depending on the male. He'll cut his throat slightly, or bite his wrist for you. You'll drink, without even thinking about it. It'll be all natural. And then like I said, it'll replenish your body and you'll feel so different. You'll be hyper sensitive for a few days afterwards, but it's not bad compared to what you'll have gone through."
Ehnvee laughed again and then smiled. "Some of the myths out there are quite terrible. Like garlic, we can totally have garlic. I love it."
Reia looked to her and she brushed her fingers through her medium length hair as she let out a sharp breath. It was a lot to take in and she would shake her head a little bit " one problem... I don't know any males ...so is there a place I can go where they will have willing males...do I start like jumping random ones on the street...cause I am not ready to die yet" she would look to her friend worried, she really really wanted to use her savings if she was going to die, she wasn't going to be one of those bitties with all this money who did nothing all their lives.
Reia thought about it as she licked her lip " Okay now this might be a stupid question... do I have to sleep with the guy who helps me through? Is it customary or is it if it happens it does, if it doesn't then that is fine to? I dont want to be rude" she would sigh.
" It's really hard to think about wanting to sleep with a male when I have never really had a reaction to one... I mean I didn't even think about sex other then trying to make myself think about sex!"
Evee laughed. "Oh trust me, you'll want to. But you don't have to. It's really up to the male. He'll be able to smell how sexed up you are, and they usually get super turned on and help you out, but some are rude and cold."
She looked around and jumped up, running into her kitchen and bringing back a bag of garlic potato chips. "See, my point earlier is made. These are amazing, but bad breath afterwards. You don't need to be kissing anyone right now, have some, since I kicked your dinner away."
She smirked and tossed the bag over after taking a handful. "Also, I'll help you find a male. I had help with mine, but I don't recommend him. I don't even know where to find him if we needed him. I'll ask my bosses at the Iron Mark. They know some people I'm sure."
