*** Ehnvee enters Sals *** Ehnvee ran into Sals like a bat out of hell. She was running over an hour late for her shift, and she knew Sal would not be happy about it. She couldn't believe she had overslept. Sunday nights were not that busy at the Iron Mask, usually, however this time it was packed, everyone got home just before dawn. It was a close call. Ehnvee made it to the back without being noticed and slipped on her black waitress apron that was just around the hips. She grabbed her order form notebook that was in one of the pockets and put a pen behind her ear. She was ready. Ehnvee's hair was pulled up into a tight ponytail, mainly because she hadn't had any time to shower before dematerializing in front of Sals. She was wearing black dress pants and a white button up long sleeved shirt, with a black thin tie, the uniform there.
She waved at Sal who was about to come over to talk to her. Ehnvee sprinted to a table in her section that was just getting filled thanks to the seating hostess that saw her come in. Ehnvee waved to Reia from across the room. She made it to her table and took their drinks and appetizer. She turned around and walked to the small bar and entered the order into the little touch screen computer Sal had finally installed.

Reia looked around the restaurant she couldn't believe that Ehnvee wasn't here yet. She had tried messaging her twice and had yet gotten an answer at least not that she had managed to notice anyway between running back and forth between sections, tables and the kitchen. However, as she came back from the kitchen this time her arms full of tray with yummy food, her shoulder having a stand hooked over it she would see that the two sections she had been working so far tonight was about to become one as Ehvee came running and she would nod putting the stand down with the trays to follow so she could dish out the food to the right patirons.
Reia smirked picking up the stand and she took the long path towards the table she ahd to go next so she would walk behind Ehvee " I told them I knew you were going to be late, not how late but late it was why I was early so you might not be in as much trouble but god I am gld you showed up its packed tonight" she would shake her head
" and our least favorites are all here tonight ... yay us"

Ehnvee groaned. "You've got to be kidding me?"
She put in her tables drinks and appitizer order for the kitchen to start working on. Wasn't much, just breadsticks and a tossed salad to share. Small table, just two, a couple. "I've got a couple, sappy, right now. Sitting over in 15. Freaking same booth. I don't see how people do that, wouldn't you want to look at each other and talk?"
Ehnvee slipped behind the bar and filled up two cokes and two waters. "They even ordered the same stuff, blah!"
She laughed and winked, turning and lifting her tray full of drinks, heading to the table to drop them off. She let them know their appetizer would be out in a few moments. They ordered and she made her way back to Reia at the computer. "The new computer system is a pain getting used to isn't it?"

Reia looked to her shaking her head " No, they are all in my section at the moment so that they wouldn't get on the fact that you weren't in your normal spot or that I was a little slower to get to the tables tonight since they are right beside the kitchen"
She sighed " Have I mentioned that I am really glad you showed up" she laughed a little moving away from the computer to go pick up the next table that was ready
It had been a while since she worked a night this busy, but it was not looking like it was going to be slowly any as she moved behind the bar and put together several mixes together before heading back out and serving several of the drinks between their two sections. The next time she crossed by Ehnvee she would glance over her shoulder " do I get to hear why you were late...was it a guy?"

Ehnvee laughed as she walked past Reia with a tray full of appetizers. "I wish!"
She set everything down, sprinkling cheese over the salad until they told her to stop. She noticed a couple other tables in her section filled up. Before she could answer Reia she walked over and took their drink orders and smiled as they of course ordered the house salad and breadsticks. She did the same to a third table and then turned to head back up front. Ehnvee watched as Reia finished up dishing dinner out to one of her tables. As they connected by the computer again as Ehnvee entered the new tickets she sighed. "I was just late from sleeping. I was at the Iron Mask until almost 6am this morning. I got home, fed Beau, and then passed out. I woke up at 7, leaving me just enough time to get over here before my shift. I'm so happy that Sals is open 24/7, I like night shifts."
Ehnvee smiled and finished entering her two tickets. Her dinners were up to take to the couple. She loaded them up on her tray, Chicken Fettuccine and Old Fashioned Lasanga. They did have the best Lasagna in town. Before heading out she loaded up drinks, packing her tray. She sent a little prayer up to the Scribe Virgin, thanking her for being a Vampire for the added strength and precision to carry the tray, especially as full as it was. Ehnvee hiked the tray up onto her shoulder and grabbed a little folded tray stand. She made it to the table and dished out their food. They were almost ready for refills, which she was already on top of, placing them on the table. They thanked her with big eyes and smiles before she moved onto her other two tables to take their orders and deliver their drinks. Ehnvee made her way back to the computer to enter the orders and check if the salads and breadsticks were up. She turned to look for Reia.

" Next time you should call me when you are up that late so I know to cover you or make an excuse instead of trying to think on the spot!" she would shake her head.
" Did you at least make good tips? I know I have had two tables stiff me so far" she watched as she walked away to serve her tables oh well they would meet up again they usually did.
Reia was exhausted already but then she had been working since the early morning covering for another waitress, and she didn't mind she needed the money it was why she took any and all shifts she could at any one of the three places she worked. Though she put more importance on Sals since it tipped bigger and made it easier to pack money away or buy nice things, usually put it away since there wasn't too many things she wanted materially anyway. With ease she finished up the last of her tables that were waiting on their food, YAY for a down period so she moved over to the computer to start getting the checks ready since most people hated waiting for it.
She saw her looking around and she waved her hand from her place at the computer. So that she would know where she was and so that she could join up with her if she wanted to .

Ehnvee grabbed a couple salads and breadsticks. She breezed past Reia. "Be right back!"
She quickly dropped everything off at her tables and checked up on the dinners to make sure everything was going great. A few more refill orders taken and quickly delivered. She finally got a break to enter in the dinners. She stopped at the computer with Reia and sighed. "I can't believe you've been here all day. You're going to run yourself into the ground."
Ehnvee threw out a little hint. "You should try working just nights, that way you have your days off. Once you get used to it, it's really nice."
She knew she'd have to get used to it soon. Just when exactly was a mystery, all up to Reia's body.

Reia looked over to Ehnvee nodding acknowledging that she heard the be right back as she continued to put the bills in to the proper sleeves waiting for someone to need her. She was a pretty could waitress, she worked well with the being busy and she would scan the drinks on all the table but they were still alright so she would look to Ehvee when she came back shrugging " Need the money, want to get out of joints like this one and go to school and that takes money"
She raised her brow ever so slighlty " why would I want to only do night shifts, that cuts my availability by half and I would make like well half the money? you have been acting a little weird lately everything alright... working only night shifts that's funny" she would grin her mouth parted to get ready to say something but a customer was ready so she grabbed their bill putting it in the back pocket of her apron before heading out

Ehnvee sighed as Reia went off to a new customer. Ehnvee herself had a couple more tables sit in her section that she needed to attend to. Before she would go off and get their drink orders there were a few dinners to deliver, along with refills. After quickly getting everything under control and handing one of her tables their check she made her way back to the computer to punch in some more checks. As they were printing out she looked around. Reia was close, but how close damn it. Her mind reading couldn't read that, which would be amazing at this time.
She sighed and stuck her checks in her pockets, waiting for the tables to be over. She watched as one of her tables leaves, waving nicely. Ehnvee made her way over before the busboys could get to the table. She picked up their check and counted the cash. She's made a $10 tip, which was wicked for a $20 tab. She turned and checked up on her tables and walked up to meet up with Reia. "So far ten bucks, baby!"

Reia came out of the back wearing her white wife beater, her blue jeans, and her steampunk goggles on her head holding her hair back like a headband " apparently they got Claire to come in and cover my shift so I can go home " she sighed she wasn't really happy about it either she really wanted the double time but she also understood why would they pay that out if they didn't have to.
" So I was thinking I would stay and have some dinner... talk to you before going home and get some sleep, that is if you don't mind the company" she grinned reaching over the bar to find herself a menu.
She would wait till she was able to come back and take her order and she would grin " Cesar salad and a scallops and bacon appy please... haven't been that hungry today" she explained as she reached over the bar pouring herself some water, she didn't drink really anything else but the odd tea or starbuck coffee as a treat but mostly it was water or juice.
" So honestly what is with you and this night shift thing, isn't this the second time that you have suggest it or am I losing my mind? I really think that is happening lately!"

Ehnvee swore under her breath. She really didn't want to do this here. "Well, I do want to talk to you about something, but I really don't want to do it here..."
She looked around. "One moment!"
Ehnvee quickly went and deposited all the checks she had in her pocket, thanking all her tables for coming out to dine tonight. She got a few cards back, running to the register to check them out and return their slips. After everything was done she made her way back to Reia. "We'll I'm up to fifty bucks tonight, and before, you asked about making good money at Iron Mask? I average about five hundred a night. Which is why I only work there three nights a week. Plus, it's tiresome, the men are very forward."
She laughed and then looked around, people were leaving, and no one was entering. They were so busy earlier, don't tell her it's going to be a dud of a night.

Reia looked to her and she would raise her brow a little as she said she wanted to talk to her but not here or now ... she had to admit she was nervous had she done something wrong she really hoped not she didn't want to lose like her only friend in this whole town... " I didn't do anything wrong did I... I mean you would have told me...cause if I did I am really sorry"
Reia would watch as she saw her walk away and she would sit there sipping her water and waiting for her food to come, she didn't think it would be too long it was free as long as you didn't mind waiting for the other tickets to come out first and she wasn't in a hurry to eat anyway.
" That is about what I make at zero, sometimes less and sometimes a little more depending on the crowd and the night" she would pause " and the shirt I wear...people have this thing about nerds I swear!"

Ehnvee plopped down into the stool next to Reia. She sighed and chomped on a breadstick. "Nerds are hot."
She smiled and then sighed. "You didn't do anything wrong, okay? You always remember that. It's not your fault..."
Ehnvee looked around and decided why the hell not. She leaned in towards Reia's ear and whispered. "The stories your Mom tells you, are real."

Reia looked to Ehnvee and she relaxed visibly when she was told she had done nothing wrong, but it was short lived as she brought the stories up which brought her mom up... which was never a happy topic for her. " You're not funny"
Reia shook her head as her food came and she would put a piece of it in her mouth chewing on it as roughly as she could to try and keep herself from panicking, she wasn't trying to hurt her she didn't need to run away from this she could handle it it was a conversation with her friend. She repeated this over and over again till she felt calmer of course the conversation was in her head but still it worked and she calmed down
" Why would you say something like that, Vampires don't exist! seriously you are acting really weird lately and I really don't feel like talking about my mom and her stupid stories."

Ehnvee looked at Reia with such sincerity. "Please don't run away from me."
This was not the place. She needed to take her back to her place. Ehnvee looked up at Sal and tossed her apron. "Emergency! I got to go, Reia's sick!"
Ehnvee grabbed Reia's wrist as she was stuffing another bite in her mouth and pulled her towards the exit. Once they were outside she cursed. She didn't drive here. "Let's go to my house, okay? I have to show you something."
